Although cold roll laminators do not use heat to laminate, they are still highly effective. Cold roll lamination film is essentially pressure-sensitive film with a smooth, clear protective side and a sticky side that firmly adheres to the product when brought into contact. Cold lamination is ideal for use with products that may be damaged by heat. A good example is wax-based ink that melts when laminated with a thermal roll laminator.
