The Destroyit 2603 paper shredder is designed for departmental use. It has hardened-steel cutting blades that can handle staples, paper clips and credit cards. The strip cut version of this shredder can even shred CDs and DVDs. The motor on all these shredders is rated for continuous use. A 10 ¼-inch throat is capable of shredding most sizes of paper. An “Easy Switch” control element uses color codes and backlit symbols to indicate operational status. The motor run quiet and is double protected against overheating. Casters make it easy to transport this shredder from one location to another.
The Destroyit 2603 features an “OSS” (Operator Safety System) package. This package includes an electronically controlled transparent safety shield in the feed opening. The shredder will automatically stop when the shred bag is full or when the cabinet door is open. It also has an automatic stop and reverse in case of a paper jam.
