The Formax FD 8500AF office shredder has a long-awaited, sophisticated feature that saves your office staff time and effort. The FD 8500AF has a dedicated auto feed paper hopper that lets you load a large stack of paper, press start and walk away. Other competing manufacturers have attempted a dedicated auto feed feature with limited success in years past. Formax actually succeeded.

The shredder’s auto feeder means no more time wasted standing in front of the shredder while you feed small stacks of paper, one after another, into the machine. The auto feed hopper on the FD 8500AF has a 175-sheet capacity that accepts paper up to 11” x 17” in size. The shredder’s standard hand-feed opening accommodates 16-18 sheets of paper at a time. It has a 16-inch wide throat.

The shredder comes with rugged, commercial-grade features including a user-friendly LED control panel with load indicator, heat-treated steel blades, steel cabinet, ample waste bin (with lifetime guarantee), and a powerful AC geared-motor.
