The FD 6402 folder inserter, from Formax, can be set up and used for most folding and inserting operations. This automatic envelope inserting machine is available in 6 different configurations, depending on what your mailing needs are. You can order this machine with 2, 4 or 6 feeders. The FD 6402 folds and inserts documents at a speed of 4,000 pieces per hour and can hold up to 325 sheets of paper in each feeder. If your FD 6402 has 6 bins, and you only need to insert 1 sheet of paper, you could potentially let this machine fold and insert 1,950 sheets of paper before needing to be refilled.
Double document detectors, found in the FD 6402, ensure that there are no accidental double document feeds. Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) as well as barcode recognition can be optionally installed on these machines. The color touch screen is very easy to view and operate. Up to 25 different jobs can be programmed and stored in the memory. The FD 6402 can create letter folds, single folds, Z folds and double parallel folds.
