The Model MR-4170 is a magnetic card reader with a built-in decoder. This product is designed with a state-of-the-art microprocessor and magnetic reading technology. It is compatible with most serial interfaces. The MR-4170 is capable of reading both high and low coercivity stripes on magnetically encoded cards. Product Details
- Compact Size.
- The card reader has a DC power jack for 12V DC power input.
- RS-232 DB-9S nine-pin female connector, to be connected with the computer and serial port.
- The two-color LED indicator will display GREEN when the power is on and the card reader is ready.
- The RED error signal will illuminate when an error is detected.
- A buzzer will beep once when a magnetic card is read successfully. It will beep three times when an error is detected.
- This unit is to be used with software designed for card reading.
- This unit is simply a magnetic stripe input device. No drivers or software are included.
