Couldn't I just fold the paper by hand? There are a lot of benefits to using a paper folder. One of the biggest benefits of using a paper folder is the speed at which you can fold paper. An individual person will never be able to fold paper at the same speed as a machine. You will also be able to eliminate the need to have employees fold paper. This means you don't have to pay them for hours of labor for something a paper folder can do in minutes. Not to mention, there are no paper cuts with an automated paper folder. Paper folders are easy to set up and require little maintenance. They can handle a variety of paper sizes and thicknesses and can usually do a variety of common folds. Many paper folders are capable of handling custom folds as well. You can find a complete list of our paper folders, sorted by friction-fed and air-feed by going here: http://www.abcoffice.com/fold1.htm?NL. --Shredder Security Levels-- I've noticed next to your paper shredders a security level number. What does that mean? Paper folders come in a variety of shapes, sizes and functionalities. Paper folders are designed with different needs and uses in mind. The lower the security level, the less secure the shredded paper is. A paper shredder with a security level of one is typically associated with a wide-size strip cut shredder. A shredder with a security level of six is designated for top-secret shredding. Paper shredders with a lower security level can usually shred more paper at once, due to the blades in the cutting unit being spaced farther apart. Higher security level shredder blades are closer together and are unable to shred as much paper at once. The security level you need will depend on what you are shredding. I personally prefer to use a shredder with at least a security level of three when shredding invoices, credit card applications and more. Most thieves won't bother to try and piece documents back together and will move along to the next garbage, but it is always better to be safe than sorry. You can see a complete list of shredder security levels and what their specifications are by going here: http://www.abcoffice.com/shredder_guide.htm?NL#security --Lamination Film Thicknesses-- What is a mil and why are there so many different thicknesses of lamination film? A mil is equivalent to a thousandth of an inch. This is the most common measurement used for lamination film thickness. Pouch lamination film is typically available in 5, 7 and 10 mil thicknesses. Roll lamination film is traditionally available in 1.5, 3, 5 and 10 mil thicknesses. The thickness of the film depends on the preference of the person who is laminating and what is being laminated. A thin lamination film is great if you only want to provide a poster, picture or other document with a thin layer of protection. People will often use a thicker lamination film when they want to give their document more rigidity. A good example of this would be signs, business cards, displays and more. You can learn more about laminators and lamination film by reading our laminator guide. --Purchase Orders-- Does your company accept purchase orders? We do accept purchase orders. We do require that non- government organizations fill out a credit application which can be found here: http://www.abcoffice.com/forms/abcoapp.pdf Once we receive your credit application, and once it has been verified, we can set you up on NET terms. From that point, we can begin receiving purchase orders. Government entities, which includes state, school and local government, only need to fill out a government verification form. Once the government verification form has been filled out and faxed to us, we can begin receiving purchase orders. Purchase orders are a great way to keep track of purchases and allows you to send payment after the product has been shipped. We also accept checks, money orders, cashier's checks, credit cards (Visa, MC, American Express, Discover) and cash. We can set up leasing options for products over $3,000 in value.
