NEW ABC OFFICE PRINTED CATALOG

We are proud to announce our new ABC Office printed catalog. This new full-color catalog features various pieces of popular and reliable office equipment. Although detailed pictures of office equipment are available online, this new catalog includes full-color pictures that help better display products.

Many of you have probably already received a copy of this catalog, which was mailed out to several of our customers a few weeks ago. If you have not received your own copy of the catalog, and would like one, you may request your own free copy by going here: http://www.abcoffice.com/catalog.htm?NL.

ASK DAVE QUESTIONS

QUESTION: I am interested in creating hardbound books. What do you recommend?

ANSWER: Creating your own hardbound books in-house can be a bit of a challenge. We do have one option, however, that may work for you. Many of our customers who want to create their own hardbound books use a binding format called VeloBind. VeloBind machines can be found here: http://www.abcoffice.com/velo1.htm?NL.

We sell hard covers that can be used in conjunction with 11-hole hot knife VeloBind machines. An 11-hole punched inner cover on the hardback covers allow the binding element to hold the punched sheets in the hardback cover. The end result looks great. We have had customers in the past use these covers for yearbooks, recipe books and more. You can find our VeloBind hard covers here: http://www.abcoffice.com/velo_s.htm?NL#velo_shc9x11.

QUESTION: I am located in Miami Florida. Do you have an office in my location?

ANSWER: We don't have any physical offices in Florida, but our central warehouse, located in Kaysville, UT can ship products to the entire United States and around the world. Products ordered online or over the phone should get to you within a matter of days.

----

QUESTION: Do I need to use a lamination carrier for everything I laminate?

ANSWER: I would highly recommend using a lamination carrier for all your documents. Although many laminators can be used without a carrier, the carrier will help prolong the life of your laminator by keeping hot glue from gumming up the silicon rollers. You can find all our lamination carriers by going here: http://www.abcoffice.com/lam_a.htm?NL.

QUESTION: What is the difference between continuous forms bursters and cut sheet bursters?

ANSWER: Continuous forms bursters are used with tractor feed paper. This is the paper that has the perforated sides with the tiny holes. Typically a printer that uses this kind of paper has two wheels with knobs on them that are used to pull paper through the machine.

Cut sheet bursters use single "free" sheets of paper. There are no tractor feed sides and the documents are typically 8.5 x 11-inch paper. You can find our entire selection of bursters by going here: http://www.abcoffice.com/burst1.htm?NL.

In order to make sure you continue to receive the Ask Dave newsletter, please be sure to contact your e-mail service provider and have them put us on their white list. With the increase of junk mail, many e-mail service providers are making it more difficult to send e-mails to customers. Putting us on a white list will ensure that you will continue to receive the best office equipment news and advice available.
