This issue covers our live video demos and new brand of money counters. It also features our DVR security recorders. The latter-half of the newsletter answers questions regarding letter openers, signature capture pads and saddle staplers. As you may already be aware, we offer a wide variety of live video demos. What is a live video demo? We have the ability to have you log into our video network to see a product used live, all while talking to one of our sales associates. This allows you to ask questions and see the machine in use without actually being present. Most of our customers who have used this feature love it. You can find a list of our live video demo products by going here: http://www.abcoffice.com/live-video-demos.htm?NL. If you don't see the product you're interested in listed, give us a call (800-658-8788) or e-mail us (info@abcoffice.com) and we may be able to pull it out of our warehouse and give you a demonstration. We would like to remind you to check out our new line of ABC brand money counters. Because we are the manufacturer of these counters, we can offer you great pricing and premium technical support. FEATURED PRODUCTS OF THE MONTH ----New PTI Time Clocks---- This month we are proud to feature our DVR security recorders. Traditional VHS-style recorders are decreasing in popularity as DVR or Digital Video Records bring the ability to record more video at a higher resolution. Most of our DVR recorders include built-in multiplexers. This means you can plug cameras directly into the DVR. Most of our DVRs ship for free. Take a look for yourself! ASK DAVE QUESTIONS QUESTION: I currently have a letter opener, but am getting tired of the tiny strips of paper that are cut off. My opener works well, but is there any way to get around the mess? ANSWER: We sell letter openers that are referred to as "chadless." This is because they actually slit the letter open rather that cutting a strip of paper off. Chadless letter openers are very nice due to the fact that they don't leave a mess. The Martin Yale 1648 is an example of a chadless letter opener. It handles a good volume of letters and gets the job done fast, without leftover slits of paper. ---- QUESTION: I would like to be able to digitally sign documents that are e-mailed to me. Do your signature capture pads offer this capability? ANSWER: Our signature capture pads can be used to insert signatures into a wide variety of documents. They can add images into MS Word, Outlook, Excel and a variety of other programs. Many of our signature capture pads have source code available, which allows programmers to integrate the signature capture pads into a variety of software, including proprietary programs. --- QUESTION: I am currently creating booklets for an organization and cannot currently afford a booklet maker. Volume output is low and I heard you can use a saddle stapler to accomplish the same thing. Is this true? If so, which saddle stapler would you recommend? ANSWER: Saddle staplers will never be a replacement for a good booklet maker, but can help with lower-volume jobs. If used with a paper folder, you will basically have a booklet maker broken up into two components. A booklet maker is essentially a paper folder with a stapler. The nice thing about a booklet maker is that the entire process is automatic. Using a saddle stapler will require a little more work on your part. A paper folder will help crease the paper (single fold) for saddle stapling, but is more of a convenience than a necessity. The Rapid 106 saddle stapler will allow you to staple multiple sheets of paper along the center of the stack. Thanks to easily adjustable guides, paper can be stapled two or three times to create a booklet. Multiple Rapid 106 staplers can be linked together to staple paper in multiple locations at once. If you don't want an electric stapler, the W115 is a good manual alternative. We are continually looking for suggestions on topics you would like to read about for future newsletters.
