Space-Saving Tips: Rotating Brochure Holders & Revolving Magazine Racks

Monday, December 13th, 2010

Revolving / Rotating Book Displays, Brochure Holders & Magazine RacksAre you looking for a way to get your literature maximum exposure while taking up as little space as possible? If this sounds like a situation similar to what you need, you may want to consider a revolving / rotating literature rack. This may be for books, brochures or magazines. Here are a few reasons why.

To begin with, revolving and rotating display racks have a very small footprint. They typically don’t take up more than 4 to 9 square feet of floor space. This is ideal for retail stores, libraries, comic book stores and others that need valuable floor space for other material and products.

The revolving design of a rotating literature rack allows a lot of material to be contained in a small space. Because the footprint is small, much of the display area is gained by height and rack design. A revolving rack makes it possible to see up to 3-4 times more material than a standard freestanding or wall-mounted rack.

Revolving brochure holders, magazine racks and book displays come in a variety of shapes and designs. This includes floor models and tabletop designs. Most revolving literature holders are made out of heavy-gauge wire, although some desktop models can be found made from plastic / acrylic. While most come in black, several are available in different color options.

Here are a few of our most popular revolving / rotating literature racks:

Best Magazine Racks For An Office Or Lobby

Friday, May 21st, 2010

Wall Mounted Wooden Office Lobby Magazine RackSo you have an office lobby and want to make the experience more pleasant for your customers. One way to do this is to add magazines. While magazines can always be placed on a table, excess magazines can begin to make a mess.

One great way to improve your lobby is by adding wall-mounted magazine rack. These racks organize material and make your lobby more presentable. So which type of magazine rack is best for an office lobby?

The two main types of wall-mounted magazine racks used in a lobby are plastic and wood. The type you use will depend largely on who will be in your lobby and the existing furniture used in your lobby.

Plastic (PETG Plastic & Acrylic) magazine racks are particularly popular in doctors’ offices and lobbies where children will be present. This is due in part to the ability of our plastic magazine racks to absorb impacts and stay clean. Kids tend to throw things and our plastic magazine racks will take the brunt of the hit without flinching. Plastic wall magazine racks are also very easy to clean as they can easily be wiped down. You will find our plastic wall mounted magazine racks here.

Wooden magazine racks can still be used in lobbies with children, but these racks look especially nice in lobbies with existing wood furniture. Many of these racks have a clear plastic front, making the content easy to see. Our wooden racks come in a variety of styles, typically depending on how many pockets you need and how you would like them arranged. You will find our entire selection of wall mounted wooden magazine racks here.

Do you need to present both magazines and brochures. We have a large selection of wall-mounted magazine racks that can display magazines and brochures. Don’t have space on the wall? Consider a corner-mounted magazine rack found here.

HIPAA Compliant Privacy Chart Holders

Monday, April 19th, 2010

HIPAA Chart HolderPatient privacy is a big deal, due in large part to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996). Not only do unused patient documents need to be destroyed, but active patient documents need to be protected as well. Gone are the days of clear plastic chart holders in medical facilities, hospitals and doctors’ offices.

Chart holders now have to have the front panel be completely blocked. This is done to protect patient privacy and prevents random people from seeing this data. Most of these chart holders are made out of wood. The chart holder pocket is deep enough to protect the data, but still allows tabs to be visible for easy access.

ABC Office carries over a dozen different HIPAA compliant chart holders. These chart holders include standard wood chart holders, open ended chart holders and deep pocket chart holders. These chart holders include all necessary mounting hardware and are available in different wood stains. Most of ABC Office’s chart holders will fit right in with existing furniture.

Clear, Acrylic, Plastic or PETG Display Racks?

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

We get asked by many of our customers what the difference is between clear, acrylic, plastic and PETG display racks. These are a lot of the common “sales” terms floating around on the Internet. Many retailers use all these terms interchangeably and it can seem a little confusing a times. The simple answer is that they are all very similar if not the same thing.

Acrylic (Plexiglas) and PETG (glycol modified polyethylene terephthalate) display racks are both clear and are made from a type of plastic. Most display racks are now made from PETG. This is because PETG plastic is more durable, resists cracking / scratching and is safer.

All of our clear plastic display racks are made from PETG. Acrylic, although not used as much now, is still a perfectly acceptable term and we will certainly understand it if you call or e-mail us. PETG plastic is designed to be shatter proof and eliminate the jagged cracked edges that used to be commonplace in older plastic displays.

There are three major types of clear display racks. These are wall mounted, corner mounted and countertop designs. The wall-mounted models, as the name states, are mounted on the wall. These are probably the most common style of clear display rack. Corner mounted are used in tight spaces because they make use of the often forgotten corner. Countertop racks are usually free standing and sit on a table or counter.

Business Card Holders & Displays – Get Organized!

Thursday, September 17th, 2009

Business cards are a great way to get your name and business advertised to potential customers. They have also been known to win a free lunch from time to time. Although business cards play an important part in many companies, these cards don’t like to stay in a neat stack. Just try stacking them and see how long the stay organized. Much like a deck of cards, business cards will eventually end up scattered everywhere.

Business card holders are a great way to harness these cards and keep them organized. Business card holders come in a wide variety of styles and designs. The two most popular types of business card holders are tabletop (countertop) and wall-mounted designs. The type you use will depend on personal preference and available space.

Business card holders and displays are most commonly available in wood and clear plastic (acrylic) materials. Again, the material used depends on personal preference. Business card holders come with different quantities of pockets, depending on how many and different types need to be displayed. Some are capable of holding over a dozen different separate piles of business cards.

ABC Office carries several of these business card holders and they are very affordable to purchase. The usefulness of a business card holder is well worth the minimal cost. Click here to see ABC Office’s entire selection.
