Advantages of using Double Loop Wires Binding:

Wire has a more professional look versus comb binding. It is unalterable, or reusable. It creates a permanent binding.

Which machines do all types of binding?
Only 2 do all types; OD 4000 (manual)OD 4800 (electric). However, they will do the various types when the separate necessary additional parts and dies are connected or installed. The additional parts are sold separately or ask your sales representative.

Are there any machines that do all the work for me?
No, all the machines require some type of physical, manual operation.

Who makes the most reliable machine?
Ibico has the longest lifespan, and is the least trouble-some, but all brands work well.

Can I use a cover on any type of binding?
Yes, they are all universal.

Is there a machine that does a combination of plastic and wire bindings?
The IB Master 300 and IB Master 400 does both plastic and twin loop wire/comb binds. Only is capable of 19 rings.
How thick is the wire?
The gauge of the wire increases as the diameter of the holes increases. Meaning the more holes per inch the more wire used, the less holes per inch the less wire used. example 2-1 diameter uses less wire than a 3-1 diameter.

Can I use my wire on a plastic comb machine?
Yes, only if your machine has a wire closer. If you do not have a wire closer it must be purchased separately.

Which wires can be used in a plastic comb machine?
Either the 19 ring Ibico or the 19 ring Spiral-O.

Can I alter my wire book after it is bound?
No, wire will not make a clean bind the second time.

Does Ibico wire come in multi colors?
No, only black and white are available in Ibico. Spiral-O comes in multi colors.

What is the difference between Ibico and Spiral-O wires?
They are the same thing Ibico has a limited choice of colors, Spiral-O comes in a variety of colors.
