What Packaging Machine is Right For Me?

As you enter into the new year, you may want to consider obtaining a packaging machine. Properly packaging products prior to storage can help protect them from damage. Shrink wrap is also useful in keeping products clean and goes a long way toward preventing theft. Here at ABC Office, we offer a wide selection of packaging machines to serve all of your packaging needs.

I-Bar Sealers

I-Bar Sealers

I-bar sealers use a single bar to cut film around a product. These machines are ideal for low to mid volumes of packaging. They tend to complete the process in just two passes. After the product is wrapped, heat is applied to shrink and seal the surrounding film. I-bar machines are capable of wrapping oddly shaped packages, which makes them perfect for a wide array of packaging needs.

Shrink Wrap L-Bar Sealers

L-Bar Sealers

L-bar sealers use two bars, in an L-shape, to wrap the product. This helps speed up the packaging process significantly. Packaging is usually completed in just one pass. The L-shape is useful for larger volumes of packaging, because it is a particularly efficient packaging method.

Direct Heat & Impulse Bag Sealers

Direct or Impulse Heat Sealers?

There are two types of heating systems used with packaging machines: direct heat sealers and impulse heat sealers. Direct heat sealers use a constant heat. This helps them seal thicker materials. They must be used carefully due to the extreme concentration of heat.

Impulse heat sealers use impulses of electricity. These pulses heat up and seal a bag quickly. These types of sealers heat up and cool down extremely quickly. There is little risk of burning the film with this method. The ideal heat sealing system depends on the type of material you use for your packaging. Impulse heat is better for thinner materials, while direct heat is often ideal for thicker types.

No matter what your packaging needs are, we have the perfect machine for you. We have both I-bar and L-bar sealers, heat guns, shrink wrap materials, full system packaging machines, heat tunnels, and more.
