Hat & Coat Racks Now At ABC Office

Thursday, September 17th, 2009

We have just added a new selection of hat and coat racks to our Web site from Wooden Mallet. These racks are available in a variety of wood stains and designs. Coat racks include models that feature brass hooks, wooden pegs and models that feature a bar for hanging up coats using traditional hangers.

These new racks look nice. They include all necessary hardware to hang them on a wall and are available in multiple wood stains. Many of these racks also feature a shelf where purses and briefcases can be placed.

Along with hat and coat racks, we have also just added new tissue and latex glove boxes. The purpose of these boxes is to cover up retail packaging so that tissue boxes and glove boxes don’t stand out like a sore thumb. These boxes are made from wood and blend in very well with existing furniture. You will find these boxes in lobbies, reception areas, hospitals and medical facilities.

Time permitting, stop by our site and take a look! You can find our entire selection of Wooden Mallet products by clicking here.

Advantages Of A Kneeling Chair

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

If you’re like me and work in an office, you probably sit in a chair for good portion of the day. If you’re lucky, you’re using an ergonomic chair that conforms to your body for better posture and comfort. Regardless of the chair you are using, sitting in a chair all day long can take its toll on your back and neck. If you have already tried several chairs and still can’t seem to get comfortable, you may want to try a kneeling chair.

Kneeling chairs position your body in a way so that a lot of the pressure put on your lower back is directed towards your legs. This position is much more comfortable for many people and it isn’t uncommon for one using a kneeling chair to see a significant improvement in back pain. Kneeling chairs are also a great way to improve posture.

Many people look at a kneeling chair and immediately think, “that just doesn’t look comfortable.” Using a kneeling chair, due to the angles involved, is nothing like kneeling on the floor. These chairs are designed for ideal and optimum comfort. I have used one of these chairs personally and can vouch for its comfort.

We just recently added a Safco brand kneeling chair to our site. It is reasonably priced, in comparison to other office chairs. Please feel free to stop by our site and take a look. You can find it by clicking here.  You can see our entire selection of office chairs here.

New Coin Rolling, Sorting & Counting Machine – ABC110

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009

There is a new option for counting, sorting and rolling coins here at ABC Office. This is the new model ABC110 coin counter. This new machine is both affordable and accurate. It features a hopper capable of holding up to 1600 coins (dimes) and counts coins at a speed of up to 270 coins a minute. We are the manufacturers of this new machine and can service / support it.

Basically you dump the coins into the machine and let it do the rest. There are two different holding trays you can use with this machine. The first option is to use coin drawers that hold pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters. These drawers can then be used for bagging the coins.

The second option is coin tubes. These tubes are used in place of the drawers and can be used for rolling coins into shotgun style tubes. The ABC110 comes with both the drawers and the tube sorters. Stop by ABC Office today and check out this new coin counter. You can find it by clicking here.

The New Martin Yale UC5500 ScriptStroyer Pharmacy (Rx) / Prescription Bottle Shredder

Friday, March 20th, 2009

I am very familiar with a wide range of shredders out on the market. I have personally handled dozens of the models we sell online and have been pretty impressed with a lot of what we sell. I have to admit, however, that the new Martin Yale UC5500 ScriptStroyer is one of the most unique shredders I have seen to date. It is right up there with the cardboard shredder that people have used to create horse bedding.

At ABC Office we sell CD shredders, credit card shredders, paper shredders, cardboard shredders and more. Now we have a shredder that can shred prescription drug bottles, being the UC5500 ScriptStroyer. This shredder has a slot that will take most types of prescription bottles, including both dry and liquid.

The UC5500 is considered to be a quiet shredder. This means noise shouldn’t interfere with customer interaction while shredding old bottles. The UC5500 ScriptStroyer also has an automatic oiler, which helps lubricate the shredder blades. This will dramatically increase the life of the shredder. On a side note, even if you don’t need a prescription bottle shredder, you should still consider purchasing shredder oil for your shredder.

With all the current paper shredder laws in place, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), the medical industry can’t be too secure or safe. Prior to seeing this shredder, I totally forgot that the labels on the prescription drug bottles had so much information on them. A thief could use that information to steel your identity or for prescription drug fraud. This shredder can also handle shredding paper, making it a multi-purpose shredder.

Time permitting, you should stop by our site and take a look. If you own or work for a pharmacy, hospital or medical facility that handles prescription drug bottles, you should really consider getting this one.  You can find the UC5500 ScriptStroyer Prescription Bottle / Pharmacy Shredder here.

Count Money Faster & More Efficiently With Semacon Money Counters

Monday, November 10th, 2008

Within the last few months we have added a new line of money counters. These money counters are from Semacon, who is well known throughout the industry for their quality machines. In total, we will be adding five new machines.

Unlike many comparable money counters that are made in China, Semacon bill counters are made in Japan under the strictest quality control measures. Semacon has built a name for itself for its durable money handling equipment capable of taking a beating and lasting for years.

New Semacon products include bill counters, coin counters, coin sorters and coin crimpers. These new Semacon products are great for use in a retail store, bank, church or other organization. Having personally used these new products, I can vouch for their reliability. They are also very easy to set up, which is a big plus for me.

Many of the Semacon bill counters we have added to our site feature counterfeit detection measures, capable of detecting the most complex counterfeited money. The Semacon S-1400 even includes an air filter designed to filter out dust and particles found in dirty bills. This is ideal considering how dirty many bills can be, especially since many bills contain traces of narcotics.

Our most recent addition is Semacon’s new S-520 coin counter. The new S-520 coin counter sorts and counts coins with great accuracy. It also includes the ability to batch count and has an easy-to-use interface. It is capable of counting up to 450 coins per minute and can be used by banks.

Stop by ABC Office and take a look at our new Semacon money counters now!

Hot wire foam cutters from Riema. Create custom packaging and more!

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

We are always looking for new products and have just added some hot wire foam cutters from Riema. These new foam cutters are great for custom packaging and even for construction.

There are many uses of hard foam in construction and other industries: insulation of walls and roofs (such as rigid insulation, Insulated Concrete Forms, Exterior Insulation and Finishing Systems), design work (like on stucco and architectural trim), concrete work, packaging, hobbies, and many more.

The problem many contractors run into while working with hard foam is its difficulty to be cut into a desired shape. Knifes and saws create un-even and jagged edges. Further, they are never exact, create an immense mess, and one small cut takes a long time to finish.

The L-G-S 135R foam cutter from Riema cuts through foam quickly and precisely without creating a large mess. We have a video demo of the L-G-S 135R that you can watch right here.

We are excited about our new relationship with Riema. Stop by our Web site and take a look at these new foam cutters. We can also demonstrate these foam cutters live over the Internet.

Jam-free shredders. Can it be true? New GBC Shredmaster "Jam-Free" shredders.

Friday, April 25th, 2008

You have more than likely experienced a jammed shredder in your lifetime. It could be from accidentally shredding too much paper, or if you’re like me, you simply like to push your shredder to the limit. Who hasn’t grabbed 30 sheets of paper and tried to run it through a shredder? Although that’s probably not such a good idea, regardless of the shredder you’re using, there is now a new line of shredders that tout the title of being “Jam Free.”

GBC, the makers of Shredmaster, recently released a new line of “jam-free” paper shredders. These new shredders have sensors that detect when too much paper is being fed through. The shredders will let you know, by means of a red LED, that too much paper is being fed through the machine. Simply cut down the sheets being fed and your off to shredding paper again. There are no jams, no grinding noises and no visits to the repair shop.

One thing I really like about these shredders, other than the “jam-free” capabilities, is that they look nice. They are easy on the eyes and aesthetically pleasing. They will easily fit right in into any office or home.

A few of the models include the:

RSX128

RSX128

RDX1413 RDS1819 & RDX1619

GBC Shredmaster Jam Free Shredders

These shredders are available in strip cut and cross cut designs. We have a wide selection of paper shredders available, so stop by and look at the entire selection. Happy shredding!

ABC Office has added new MX series Polaroid-style ID cameras to its Web site.

Monday, August 20th, 2007

MX ID CamerasThis month we added three new ID and passport camera models to our Web site. These are the MX-2, MX-4 and MX-6 cameras. These cameras are designed to create quick and inexpensive photo IDs in a few minutes. The addition of these cameras increases our line of photo ID cameras to nine.

All of these cameras use a Polaroid-style film that takes and develops on the fly. All three new cameras use the same style of film. The MX-2 has two lenses designed to take photo ID pictures or passports, depending on the MX-2 model being used. The MX-4 camera has a total of four lenses and the MX-6 a total of six.

Many large businesses have switched over to digital cameras and printers. Traditional Polaroid-style cameras are still popular in schools, non-profit organizations and for novelty ID cards. This is due, in part, to the availability of the film and the inexpensive up-front cost of the equipment.

Creating an ID with the MX series cameras is an easy process. After being take, the picture cut to size using either scissors or a die cutter. Once cut, the picture is applied to a pre-made card and is then laminated. The ID card can then be placed in a badge holder or be punched for use with a lanyard. The process only takes a few minutes.

You can find our entire selection of cameras by going here.
