Organizational Benefits of Desktop Wire Display Racks

Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

Wire Display RacksIf you’re like me, you probably have a lot of literature sitting on your desk. This clutter is annoying, and if you directly work with customers and clients, it can be equally frustrating for them. Information should be organized and presentable, if not for you, for your customers. Simply put, it’s professional.

One of the best ways that you can clean up and organize your desk is by using a desktop display rack or literature holder. One of the most modern and classy ways to display literature on a desk is to use a wire display racks. I’m not talking about coat hanger wire; I’m referring to tough heavy-gauge wire.

Wire displays are designed to hold up through daily use. Among many benefits, they are often available in a variety of different powder coat finishes, with black being the most common color. Not only can they be used to display literature to your customers, patients and clients, they can also be used to simply organize material on your own desk for your own use.

Benefits of Wire Display Racks

Durability – Wire display racks are tough. They can hold a lot of material, without any wear, and can withstand many types of direct impacts (i.e. falling on the floor) without suffering damage. These types of racks are more durable than wooden or plastic displays.

Visibility – Wire displays make literature, magazines, brochures and other material extremely easy to view. This is because the design of wire, by nature, is easy to see through.

Accessibility – Wire makes literature extremely easy to access. If you can’t grab the material from the top, you can often lift it out or access it from the side.

Affordability – While you might think wire displays would be expensive, they are actually competitively priced, right around the same price as a wood or plastic display.

Clear, Acrylic, Plastic or PETG Display Racks?

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

We get asked by many of our customers what the difference is between clear, acrylic, plastic and PETG display racks. These are a lot of the common “sales” terms floating around on the Internet. Many retailers use all these terms interchangeably and it can seem a little confusing a times. The simple answer is that they are all very similar if not the same thing.

Acrylic (Plexiglas) and PETG (glycol modified polyethylene terephthalate) display racks are both clear and are made from a type of plastic. Most display racks are now made from PETG. This is because PETG plastic is more durable, resists cracking / scratching and is safer.

All of our clear plastic display racks are made from PETG. Acrylic, although not used as much now, is still a perfectly acceptable term and we will certainly understand it if you call or e-mail us. PETG plastic is designed to be shatter proof and eliminate the jagged cracked edges that used to be commonplace in older plastic displays.

There are three major types of clear display racks. These are wall mounted, corner mounted and countertop designs. The wall-mounted models, as the name states, are mounted on the wall. These are probably the most common style of clear display rack. Corner mounted are used in tight spaces because they make use of the often forgotten corner. Countertop racks are usually free standing and sit on a table or counter.

You can find our entire selection of clear display, literature, pamphlet and magazine racks here.

Magazine & Display Racks – Plastic, Metal or Wood?

Monday, June 1st, 2009

Magazine racks and display racks come in all shapes and sizes. These range from floor standing to wall-hanging designs. Although these are available in different designs, they are also available in different materials. The most common materials used in building display racks are plastic, wood and metal.

The least common of the three is metal. This isn’t because they are ugly or don’t work, but most metal display racks are created in a wire design. These styles are commonly used for displaying books, DVDs and other material for resale. They are not as common for displaying magazine and brochures. The most common color for metal display racks is black, although some chrome designs are available. You can find our metal display racks here.

Plastic display racks are commonly found in office lobbies, grocery stores, churches and schools. They are good for use with multiple products and are especially popular due to the transparent properties of the plastic, which makes it easy to see material. Magazines are especially popular for use with plastic (acrylic) display and magazine racks. They come in wall mounted, corner and desktop designs. You can find our plastic magazine racks here.

Wood display racks and magazine racks fit in very well with an office environment. They look very professional and match well with existing furniture. You can find wood display racks in floor-standing, wall-mounted and countertop designs. Wood magazine racks fit in well with a lobby, waiting room, church foyer or business office. You can find our wood display racks here.

Some magazine racks are available in a combination of wood and plastic. Buy your display rack today by going here.

Wooden Mallet Display RacksWe are proud to announce a new partnership with Wooden Mallet Inc. located in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
Wooden Mallet Inc. has been in business for 30 years and produces fine wood office products. Wooden mallet produces everything in-house with their own routing machines, laser engraving machines and state-of-the-art finishing system. This new partnership will increase our line of display racks by 62.

For the past 10 years, Wooden Mallet has ranked consistently in the top 100 of the Wood & Wood Products, Wood 100 Annual Report for Solid Wood and Panel Technology. The ranking is figured on the company’s percentage growth from the previous year. The annual sales volume of Wooden Mallet grew a massive 1300 percent from 1993 to 2002.

Wooden Mallet display racks are made from high-quality solid oak sides and components. This construction
provides a durable and solid product.  All components are pre-finished before assembly to ensure an even finish in all nooks and crannies, and a better protected product. The finished product does an excellent job of displaying magazines and brochures and looks professional in any environment.

The finishing system used by Wooden Mallet is one of the first of its kind in the Midwest. The system
uses ultra violet light to cure the finish; not only is the finish more durable, but the process meets the emission standards set by the Environment Protection Agency for many years to come. This means your display rack will be durable and will last through years of future wear and tear. Wooden Mallet display racks are a great investment.

We have hundreds of styles of display racks to choose from. Apart from Wooden Mallet display racks, we also have a wide selection of other wooden, plastic and metal display racks.

Display racks can be purchased as floor units, wall-mounted units, rotating units, corner units or as countertop units. You can see our entire selection of display racks by going here.
